Ohio's East Fork Lake Park - Ponds

The map below chronicles my excursions to farm ponds found within the borders of Ohio's East Fork State Park. A few ponds/wetlands have been added after the park's creation; however, most ponds were originally elements of the original farmland purchased by the state in the mid 1970's. Some ponds, you may discover, no longer hold water because, being aged, they have filled in with debris. Others are dry, or are nearly so, because the dams have eroded away. In at least one, it appears, the Corps of Engineers blew the dam. Also included, as I discover them, are a few mud wallows or large frog puddles that may once have been small, hand-dug watering holes. Eventually, I hope to visit each of the ponds shown on Google's map and to provide images and descriptive information. Map Tags include links to blog posts that usually include images and other information such as, in many cases, GPS maps showing how I hiked (or shouldn't have hiked) to a given pond.
